ELDRITCH To Film Live DVD In March
January 3, 2008Italian progressive-aggressive metal band ELDRITCH has issued the following update:
"ELDRITCH are proud to announce the recording of their first official live DVD! It'll be recorded during the show at the Music Street Club in Lugnano, Pisa, in Italy, on March 22. The show will comprise a lot of old tracks from the early era of the band and these songs will be played by some old members! During the show there'll be a lot of guests from the past. Of course, the current lineup will play the most of the show with the new album's setlist. So, stay tuned on the next news coming on. ELDRITCH will also be part of the Italian Gods Of Metal fest on March 2nd. Other shows will be added in the next weeks."
ELDRITCH released its seventh album, "Blackenday", n April 2007 via Inside Out Music. The CD features guest appearances by Ray Alder (FATES WARNING, REDEMPTION, ENGINE) and Nicholas Van Dyk (REDEMPTION) on the song "Broken Road". On all the other tracks you can hear Laura Scappini (IN MEMORY) doing the backup vocals. The CD was mixed by R.D. Liapakis at Music Factory studios in Germany and was mastered by Christian Schmid. A video for the song "The Blackened Day" was shot in February 2007 with director Mirco Andreis and can be viewed below.
ELDRITCH made its U.S. live debut at the Chicago Powerfest 2006.
